This online, instructor-led course introduces students to the growing field of building energy management and automation, with a focus on integrating sustainable technologies into commercial and industrial systems. Students will explore digital controls, advanced metering, building management systems, and energy optimization strategies. Topics include sustainable energy generation, combined heat and power, grid integration, energy storage, and control programming for conservation and performance.

This 3-credit course is part of the Sustainable Energy Technology diploma program and applies to the Building Science micro-credential.
