CourseGraphic This course is intended to provide introductory information with regards to neurodevelopmental differences in childhood (sometimes referred to as neurodiversity).  Neurodevelopmental differences affect the (1) cognitive, (2) behavioural, and (3) emotional functioning of children. This course maps out current research perspectives on the sequalae of ADHD, autism, learning disorders and intellectual disabilities so that learners may come to better understand the (1) functional, developmental concerns around developmental disorders, and (2) theoretical reasoning behind common intervention approaches utilized in home, community, and educational settings.
