Initial Grade B Pressure Welder Training

Welders working on pressure equipment in Alberta must be certified by the Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA). This course prepares experienced journeyperson welders to challenge the Initial Grade B Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency in accordance with the Alberta Safety Codes Act and Pressure Welders Regulation.
 
This condensed, 32-hour course is designed for skilled welders seeking focused, hands-on training with an experienced instructor. Instruction emphasizes practical skill development for exam readiness.   
Prerequisite:
Applicants must hold an Alberta Journeyman Welder Certificate of Competency or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certificate from another jurisdiction.
Note:
ABSA performance qualification test not included and not available onsite.
All materials are included.
Students are required to provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE).
