ClassGraphic This Micro Credential course compares and contrasts different types of business entities, examines farm income tax, interprets farm financial statements, and calculates and assesses farm financial ratios.

The type of business entities: sole proprietor, partnership and corporation are studied to examine the benefits, drawbacks and tax implications of each entity. This course explains farm income tax and compares personal income tax rates with corporate tax rates. The importance of farm financial statements is explained through balance sheet and income statements. Farm budgeting and planning explains cash flow management through actual cash flow statements and projected cash flow budgets. Lastly, we will discuss the importance of farm financial ratios and ratio analysis.
