Production Field Operator - Part B Field Equipment & Processes
Topics may include: wellheads, production tanks, process of hauling fluid, artificial lift, PCP pumps, well head drives, stuffing box, hydraulic systems, engine/prime mover, shutdowns and ESDs, water transfer sites, corrosion monitoring, chemical pumps & chemicals, burners, oilfield heaters, separators, catadyne, heaters and PSVs.
You will have 4 months to complete each course. There are four courses in total to successfully complete the Production Field Operator certificate. Students can register for one course at a time.
Proctored exams:
You require a proctor for the midterm and final examinations. More details and forms will be available through the online course.
Online Requirements:
You will be using the Lakeland College online learning management system (LMS), Desire2Learn for this course.High speed internet is recommended. Firefox or Chrome browsers are recommended for the best user experience.
This course may include quizzes, tests, and examinations (must be proctored).
You should:
- have access to a computer and high speed internet
- have computer and web skills in order to do course work
- read and write in English as all of our courses are conducted in English
- be prepared to submit course work and complete exams within the timelines provided
